Located  thirty-five miles west of Zebulon , the Raleigh-Durham International Airport (RDU) provides efficient and cost-effective travel options for the Raleigh-Durham area. RDU is served by 9 major airlines and 15 regional airlines with a total of 488 arrivals and departures daily.

The business aviation area is home to the 22,000-square foot General Aviation (GA) Terminal supporting two Fixed-Base Operators. The complex offers 30 acres of aircraft parking space for a variety of aircraft sizes and much more. The contemporary styling of the GA Terminal reflects the Triangle region's corporate travelers, pilots and crew members.

Cargo Carriers

Cargo operations are going strong at RDU. With more than 118,884 tons of cargo imported and exported in 2005, cargo business is robust. Major cargo operators serving the Triangle region are Airborne Express (ABX), BAX Global, DHL, Emery Worldwide (now called Menlo Worldwide Forwarding), Federal Express, and United Parcel Service (UPS). There are also several freight forwarders on the airport.
