Zebulon offers a wide variety of recreational and leisure opportunities.  For the outdoors enthusiast, parks and recreational facilities are scattered throughout the town including golf courses, tennis courts, and nature trails. The area's temperate climate allows residents to enjoy the great outdoors almost year-round.  The sports fanatic can take advantage of Five County Stadium, home of the minor league baseball team, the Carolina Mudcats.  In addition, Zebulon residents have access to a wide array of arts, culture and entertainment within the region.

Enjoy one of Zebulon’s major attractions, a minor league baseball game!  This Class AA professional baseball affiliate of the Pittsburgh Pirates plays 70 games a year at Five County Stadium.  The Carolina Mudcats is one of the top drawing-teams in attendance in the Southern League.  The team was presented as the champions of the Southern League in 1995 and 2003.

Zebulon Community Park is located at 401 South Arendell Ave.  This park consists of 47 acres including two basketball courts, athletic fields, walking trails, disc golf course, picnic shelters, playground, and fitness stations.

Whitley Park is located on North Wakefield Street.  Take advantage of the many facilities available such as picnic areas, playgrounds, tennis courts, benches, and shelters.

Gill Street Park is located on Gill Street.  This park includes basketball courts, playgrounds, and picnic areas.

Little River Park can be found on Highway 97 near Lizard Lick.  This park is situated along the Little River, complete with a dam, waterfall, and picnic areas.  This park is a Naturalist’s haven.

In addition, the Town of Zebulon Recreation Department offers a diversified array of programs for all age groups, which include camps, sports, arts, self-defense, fitness, and environmental. 

Zebulon Country Club

Experience golfing at its best.  Enjoy golfing on this fun course which includes tree lined, open fairways with five water holes and an island green.
